Medical Expenditure NHPC Hospital/ Dispensaries for Outsiders-CSR
NHPC has spent Rs. 6.09 Crore through Project dispensaries functional at NHPC’s Projects/ Power Stations/ Units situated mostly in remote areas during FY 2022-23 in providing free Healthcare facilities to the local population with the objective to promote healthcare including preventive healthcare and reduce the incidence of diseases. During FY 2022-23, the total no. of beneficiaries was 109009.
Medical Expenditure NHPC Hospital/ Dispensaries for Outsiders-CSR
NHPC has spent Rs. 4.98 Crore through Project dispensaries functional at NHPC’s Projects/ Power Stations/ Units situated mostly in remote areas during FY 2021-22 in providing free Healthcare facilities to the local population with the objective to promote healthcare including preventive healthcare and reduce the incidence of diseases. During FY 2021-22, the total no. of beneficiaries was 75627.

SDG Goal 4: Quality Education
Expenditure on Kendriya Vidyalaya/Other School for Outsiders-CSR
NHPC has spent Rs. 36.86 Crore on 13 nos. Kendriya Vidyalayas/ other school during FY 2022-23 for providing quality education to rural community children residing in the vicinity of its Projects/ Power Stations/ Units. During FY 2022-23, the total no. of beneficiaries was 5559.
Expenditure on Kendriya Vidyalaya/Other School for Outsiders-CSR
NHPC has spent Rs. 33.06 Crore on 13 nos. Kendriya Vidyalayas/ other school during FY 2021-22 for providing quality education to rural community children residing in the vicinity of its Projects/ Power Stations/ Units. During FY 2021-22, the total no. of beneficiaries was 5859.

SDG Goal 5: Gender Equality
Providing Livelihood Enhancement Training on Operation of Automatic Handloom to downtrodden Women of Dollungmukh Circle, Kamle District, Arunachal Pradesh
NHPC Subansiri Lower HE Project signed MOU with M/s. Kemli Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd, Dollungmukh Circle on 04.06.2022 for providing Skill Enhancement Training of downtrodden women on operation of Automatic Handloom in Dollungmukh Circle, Dist. Kamle, Arunachal Pradesh. 160 Women will be benefitted. This activity has been completed on 14.11.2023. This CSR initiative involves financial implication of Rs. 53.40 Lakhs.

SDG Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
Rectification/ maintenance/ refurbishment work of the dysfunctional toilets to make them workable
NHPC has spent Rs. 5.59 Crore on rectification/ maintenance / refurbishment work of the dysfunctional toilets to make them workable during FY 2021-22. It is pertinent to mention that NHPC has undertaken rectification of toilets constructed under Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan during FY 2014-15 & FY 2015-16. During FY 2021-22, the total no. of beneficiaries was 248888.
Expenditure on Kendriya Vidyalaya/Other School for Outsiders-CSR
NHPC has spent Rs. 3.86 Crore on rectification/ maintenance / refurbishment work of the dysfunctional toilets to make them workable during FY 2022-23. It is pertinent to mention that NHPC has undertaken rectification of toilets constructed under Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan during FY 2014-15 & FY 2015-16. During FY 2022-23, the total no. of beneficiaries was 248888.

Supply and Installation of 17 Nos Solar Street Lights to Rigyu, Lumsi, Midpu Village of Kamle distt. Arunachal Pradesh
This CSR initiative aims at ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy to underprivileged rural community of Rigyu, Lumsi & Midpu village of Kamle District. Installation of solar street lights is completed on 17.10.2023. This initiative involves financial implication of Rs. 8.23 Lakh. The approximate no. of beneficiaries is 120

SDG Goal 8: Decent Work & Economic growth
Employment Oriented Vocational Training to 4000 youth beyond Project periphery through NSDC for promoting skill development
NHPC has spent Rs. 8.13 Crore on this CSR initiative during FY 2022-23. The total no. of beneficiaries of the Scheme is 3967. The objective of providing employment-oriented vocational training to unemployed youth is to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and abilities so that individuals acquire the expertise needed to perform specific tasks and functions in various industries. MoU had been signed on 2nd March, 2020 with National Skill Development Corporation and National Skill Development Fund for Employment Oriented Vocational training of 3000 Unemployed Youth in Employable skills. MoU had been signed on 25th February’ 2020 with National Skill Development Corporation and National Skill Development Fund for Employment Oriented Vocational training of 1000 Divyangjans in Employable skills. 1630 nos. unemployed youth trained during FY 2021-22 and 2337 nos. unemployed youth trained during FY 2022-23

SDG Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and infrastructure
Construction of Civic Amenity Building, Badrinath Dham to Shri Kedarnath Utthan Charitable trust (SKUCT)
Shri Kedarnath Utthan Charitable Trust (SKUCT) has been sanctioned an amount of Rs. 18.58 crore for the construction of a Civic Amenity Building in Badrinath Dham. An MoU was signed on 18.10.2021 for a period of 33 months. As per the latest progress report, a total amount of Rs. 9.28 crore has been released in three installment, and Utilization certificate of Rs. 5.46 Crore against the released amount has been received & adjusted in account. Ground floor slab casting has been completed & slab casting for 2nd floor is under progress. Total progress of the activity has been achieved up to 59.0%. Activity is under progress.
