Baira Siul Power Station is a major step towards harnessing hydroelectric potential in Himachal Pradesh. It envisages utilization of the combined inflow of three tributaries of the Ravi river, namely Baira, Siul and Bhaledh for generation of power on run-of-the-river basis.The Power Station was commissioned in the years 1980 and 1981.
Renovation and Modernization for Life Extension was undertaken after completion of 35 years of commercial operation and has been successfully completed on 31.08.2021. The layout plan, features and photo gallery of the Power Station are detailed below.
