Overview
 | The commercial aspects of NHPC are being handled by Commercial Division which is an important unit of Corporate Centre. The important functions of Commercial Division are as under: |
- Filing of Tariff Petition/ getting approval of Tariff of Operating Power Stations from Hon’ble CERC
- Filing of review petition / appeal in APTEL, if required after issue of tariff order by CERC.
- Providing comments on draft CERC Regulations / draft policies of MoP, GoI.
- Signing of bulk power supply agreements in respect of operating power stations as well as Power Purchase Agreement for the upcoming power stations of NHPC with various Bulk Power Consumers / prospective buyers.
- Raising Energy Bills, revenue realisation and reconciliation of accounts.
- Coordination with Ministry of Power, various Regional Power Committee (RPC’s), Regional Load Dispatch Centres (RLDC’s), SEB's (Discom) / Union Teritories, CERC, CEA and other Power Sector utilities on commercial matter.
- Generation of various MIS reports related to Commercial aspects to be sent to higher offices, MoP, CERC, CEA etc.
- Inter – State Trading of Power in whole of India.
