TOLIC (O), Faridabad operational under the chairmanship of NHPC honoured by Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India
Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Office)-TOLIC (O), Faridabad operating under the chairmanship of Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC has been honoured with the ‘Best’ Official Language Shield and Certificate for outstanding work in the implementation of the Official Language. The honour was conferred at a ceremony held in Mumbai, Maharashtra on the occasion of Hindi Day 2026 and the 6th All India Official Language Conference. The ceremony was chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah.
Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC and Chairman, TOLIC (O), Faridabad said, “The honour of the Official Language becomes meaningful only when Hindi is reflected not only in our thoughts but also in our day-to-day work. Working in Hindi reflects not only our efficiency but also our national commitment.” He appreciated the contribution of all officers and employees of the member offices associated with TOLIC (O), Faridabad and expressed his gratitude for their efforts towards this achievement.
On behalf of TOLIC (O) Faridabad, the honour was received by Shri Naveen Kumar Jain, Executive Director (HR), NHPC and Shri Sanjeev Kumar, General Manager (Rajbhasha) and Member Secretary, TOLIC (O), Faridabad from Smt. Anshuli Arya, Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. It is noteworthy that TOLIC (O) Faridabad has been functioning under the chairmanship of NHPC since 2009. At present, the Committee comprises 54 member offices with coordinated efforts being undertaken for the effective implementation of the Official Language policy and promotion of Hindi.
In addition, during the ceremony, TOLIC Reasi, functioning under the chairmanship of NHPC’s Salal Power Station was honoured in the ‘Excellent TOLIC’ category, while TOLIC Dhemaji, functioning under the chairmanship of NHPC’s Subansiri Lower Project was honoured in the ‘Commendable TOLIC’ category.
