NHPC Conferred with Rajbhahsha Kirti Puraskar
NHPC Limited's Rajbhasha Magazine 'Rajbhasha Jyoti' has been awarded the first prize in Region 'A' under the Government of India's highest Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar (House Journal). The award was received by Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC Shri Bhupender Gupta from Hon'ble Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah during the Hindi Diwas 2025 and 5th All India Rajbhasha Sammelan held at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Center, Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 14 September 2025. Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon'ble Union Minister of State, Law & Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Hon'ble Deputy Chairman, Committee of Parliament on Official Language Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab, Hon'ble M.P. Ahmedabad (West) Shri Dineshbhai Makwana were also present on the occasion.
Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar is the highest Puraskar given by the Government of India in the field of Official Language Implementation. This award has been given to 'Rajbhasha Jyoti' for the third time under the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar (House Journal). Earlier, 'Rajbhasha Jyoti' was awarded the first prize for the year 2019-20 and the second prize for the year 2016-17. Apart from this, NHPC has also been awarded the Rajbhasha Kirti Award ten times for excellent official language implementation among public sector undertakings. First prize has been received for the year 2008-09, 2009-10, 2011-12, 2014-15 and 2016-17 and second prize for the year 2010-11, 2012-13, 2015-16 and 2020-21 for the best official language implementation among public sector undertakings.
NHPC has made qualitative progress in the field of official language Hindi along with hydropower generation and development. NHPC has also been awarded many other national level Rajbhasha Awards for its remarkable achievements in the field of official language implementation.
