NHPC organizes ‘Vasant Utsav 2025’
NHPC, India’s 100% renewable energy company, organized ‘Vasant Utsav 2025’ with great fervor on March 08.03.2025 at the NHPC Residential Complex, Surajkund, Faridabad. The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Bhanu Bharti, President, NHPC Mahila Kalyan Samiti. NHPC celebrates the Vasant Utsav to welcome the arrival of spring and to showcase the richness and diversity of Indian culture.
Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC addressed the occasion, extending his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for ‘Vasant Utsav 2025’. He said that spring is not just a season but a harbinger of new energy, new hopes and new possibilities. He further stated that the day was even more special as it coincided with International Women’s Day. On this auspicious occasion, he said, “I salute the power of women and extend my heartfelt wishes to all on International Women’s Day. Women are not only the foundation of families but also play a crucial role in the progress of society, nation and humanity as a whole.” In his address, Shri Chaudhary also highlighted NHPC’s ongoing projects and future plans. On this occasion, a booklet titled ‘Hausle Ki Udaan’ was also released by Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC, which showcases the struggles and achievements of NHPC’s specially-abled employees.
On this occasion, Shri Rajendra Prasad Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC, Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects & Technical), NHPC along with members of the NHPC Mahila Kalyan Samiti including Smt. Gayatri Goyal, Smt. Mona Lal and Smt. Garima Singh were also present.
The main highlight of the festival was the mesmerizing performances by renowned folk singer Ms. Maithili Thakur and her fellow artists who captivated the audience with their spectacular renditions.
Vasant Utsav 2025 also included a variety of stalls set up by NHPC’s power stations, projects and regional offices featuring local handicrafts, traditional attire, regional cuisines, puppet shows etc. from different states and UTs including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam etc.
