NHPC organizes Kavi Sammelan, Walkathon and Street Play during Vigilance Awareness Week 2025
NHPC organized a Kavi Sammelan, Walkathon and Street Play on 29.10.2025 during Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 being organized from 27.10.2025 to 02.11.2025 at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad. On this occasion, Shri Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), Shri Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance) and Shri Santosh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, NHPC inaugurated the Kavi Sammelan by lighting the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, stated that all NHPC personnel are performing their duties responsibly, with vigilance and integrity. Vigilance should be practiced year-round and we are embracing it in our work. The objective of these vigilance awareness programmes is to raise awareness about the harmful effects of corruption and promote a culture of transparency, accountability and integrity in society. It is everyone's responsibility to perform their official duties with vigilance and awareness.
Addressing the event, Shri Santosh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, NHPC, stated that the theme for this year's Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 is "Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility." This means that we all must work together to be vigilant, aware and adhere to vigilance regulations.
Renowned poets from across the country, Shri Upendra Pandey, Shri Anil Agravanshi, Shri Shailendra Madhur and poetess Smt. Kalpana Shukla, enthralled the audience with their poems of heroic, romantic and humorous sentiments at the Kavi Sammelan.
Earlier today, a Walkathon was organized at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad. Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), Shri Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance) and Shri Santosh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, NHPC, flagged off the Walkathon. A street play was also organized on this occasion to spread the message of vigilance awareness. The street play was presented by Mitra Cultural Society, New Delhi. Senior NHPC officials and other employees participated enthusiastically in these events.
During Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, various events, including essay writing, debates, poetry recitations, painting competitions etc. are being organized across all NHPC locations.
