Participants of National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2024 organized by NHPC at State/ UT level win Appreciation Prize at National level
Ms. Jigmet Zangdon and Ms. Akriti Sharma, participants from the States/ UTs allotted to NHPC by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India for conducting State/UT level painting competitions were awarded ‘Appreciation Prize’ under Group ‘A’ category of National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2024. Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon'ble Minister of State for Power, Govt. of India awarded the prizes to the winners during National Energy Conservation Day awards at New Delhi on 14.12.2024. The award recognizes their talent and awareness displayed during the National Level Painting Competition 2024 on Energy Conservation.
NHPC conducted the Painting competition in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. Ms. Jigmet Zangdon, a student from Standard V of Ladakh Public School, Leh (Ladakh) and Ms. Akriti Sharma, a student from Standard VII of Army Public School, Samba (J&K) were awarded Appreciation Prize in Group ‘A’ category.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC said, “NHPC has been associated very closely with Painting Competition on Energy Conservation held under the aegis of BEE, Ministry of Power. I congratulate the winners for their exceptional talent and artistic skills in conveying the message of energy conservation”.
